GE side x side freezing up after main board replacement
Model Number: GSH25JSTASS Brand: GE Age: 1 - 5 years
I recently replaced the main board on the GE Refrigerator after noticing the refrigerator temperature too high (upon investigation, coils were frozen). After the replacement, everything seemed to work properly for about 1 month. Last week, I noticed the refrigerator warming again. The coils were heavily frosted, not quite to the level before.
The heater checks out OK (I forced it on with the jumper AND through the diagnostic cycle (1 4). I have 3 thermistors and all 3 appear to have correct resistance ( 2 freezer thermistors at 22k ohm and 16.7k ohm). Do I have a bad main board (again??) Ads By Google Related Models

Check your defrost thermostat, it's the only defrost component left that you haven't checked. It's clamped to the evaporator coils. Refrigerator Repair Guide: How To Fix a Refrigerator - ACME HOW TO.com

The defrost tstat checks out OK (closed circuit).
I can't really believe that I have had 2 main boards go out, so that is why I am hesitant to say it is that right now. Is there something that could cause the main board to go out?
