We have had this fridge since 1996. In all honesty I don't remember installing a filter in back or inside. Over the years the water dispenser in the door has gotten slower and slower. We are used to it and tend to ignore it, but relatives tell me that the water filter is clogged. For what it's worth, the ice maker works fine.

I have searched in vain for a filter with no luck. I did disconnect the water supply. There is a good stream of water from the supply hose. Is there something inside the refrigerator that could accumulate clogging particles?

Thanks in advance for any replies. This seems like a great forum!

Just a followup: I pulled out the intake valve and washed the debris from the mesh screen at the inlet. It made a small improvement but not what one would expect.

Any ideas anyone? :(
