I have Amana bottom freezer Refrigerator Model BB20 -- Bottom freezer is cool but not cold top is not cooling - fan working but seems like the condensor does not go on -- this all started after we lost electricity -- now therostat dial in freezer does not click when turned. I have read a few possible solutions -- have cleaned and vacuumed / fan turns on / could problem be start relay / defrost timer / thermostat?

The model number you posted is incomplete. Verify and repost please. Also it would not hurt if you will post the mfg number from the name plate.

have been reading -- checked evaporator fan not working -- ice buildup -- power is going to fan unit --- could this be the problem -- amana BB20VPSE

Yes, the problem caused by this failed fan motor. No doubts about it. Unfortunately the manufacturer does not sell this motor separate. It comes as assembly.
