Found paperwork & frig is 6 yr old. Could something have shorted when the power blinked causing the controls to quit? I can turn it on & everything seems fine but at some point the controls go blank ie no readouts. I opened the door when I got home to check & the controls were blank but as I typed this the frig came on & the controls are working. It even made one load of ice since 6:00 this am.
I heard a couple of clicks sounded like a clixon breaking just now & heard the comp come back on. Does it have a clixon overload?
The frig had been working fine before the power blinked Sat.

Sounds like the control board (temperature control) has gone bad due to a power surge. It might be a good idea to install a surge protectors for all electronics. Or maybe just one for a whole house? Check with a local electrician to see how much he will charge you.

- The part number for the control board is AP3177964
