I have a Sub Zero the refrigerator is cooling just fine and so is the freezer except I have ice cream that is very soft. Nothing else is defrosting and it is making ice. I can hear the motor running but cannot tell if a fan is running. The motor is on the top and the freezer on the bottom. Thanks,

I love ice cream.......

All Sub-Zeros are very sensitive to condenser coil condition. It has to be cleaned at least once a year. That's probably the cause of the problem.

Basically it does not matter which model is your refrigerator. The condenser needs cleaning at least once a year.

Hi Gene,

Thanks for the reply but how do I clean the coil? With a vacum very carefully I assume? Need more instruction.

Thank you,

I would recommend to call a refrigeration pro to do it for you fist time. You'll learn how to do it right way and later will do it yourself.

Gene,

I can't afford a repair pro right now I just lost my job. Please give me a hint on how to do it. I will be very careful.

Thanks
