My ice maker is making ice and dispensing water. The auger stopped turning. I still hear a motor hum. Sounds like it's stuck but it doesn't turn. I took out the ice tray and when i hold the door close switch and hit the ice dispenser, it never turns the motor . only hums. I'm not sure what needs replacing.

Probably the motor. Take the ice bin out and turn the augur by hand. Is it locked up. Watch the motor with the ice bin out does it turn then.

It does not move. With the ice tray out and holding the door switch it still does not move. It sounds like it wants to though. Could it be frozen?
