About a month ago, I noticed that both the condensor fan and evaporator fan seemed to be running constantly on this fridge. Then my wife noted that her ice-cream was not frozen. Investigation revealed that the back wall of the freezer was iced. I tested the defrost heaters and sure enough, the bottom one needed replacing. I ordered the complete assembly and a new defrost timer (even though mine tested fine). Installed about a month ago and no frost on the back wall anymore, but the fans still run constantly even when you open the freezer or fridge door. The lights inside do go off when you close the doors. I seem to have some strange temperature fluctuations. Sometimes they'll be very cold and other times they will be warm. (The defrost timer seems to work, and that seems to be the only time the fans do not run). Maybe it is normal for the fans to run constantly? This fridge is in a garage, which this time of year is probably 85 degrees. What turns the fans off when proper temperatures are attained and how do I check it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
