Defrost assy/defrost board
 

my maytag frig - needs a new adaptive defrost board and a new defrost assembly...if I order the parts is this something I can do my self or a professional should handle? I am not very handy with applaince repairs.

or should I be buying a new frig?

Your defrost parts are the defrost thermostat, defrost heater and adaptive defrost control . They are not hard to install. I don't know what a defrost assembly is.
