We are considering buying the ice door, spring kit for $40.05 for our ice maker but are afraid we won't be able to access the inner workings of the ice dispenser mechanism. For example, how do you take the front panel off?

Remove the dispenser cover by gently prying going round and round a little at a time to prevent from breaking it. When it's off the screws will be exposed to access the other components.
