The old icemaker stopped working - opened it up and the drive gear shaft was broken and a tooth missing.

Swapped in a new unit. It fills with water - ther water freezes - but it doesn't get pushed out - the f"fingers" are parked at about 1 o'clock.

I used a screw driver and turned the small white knob about a quarter turn CW, and the fingers rotated and pushed out the ice.

What adjustment do I make to get the icemaker to function on its own?

Thanks!

I'm assuming by the part number you posted that you replaced just the motor module - not the whole ice maker. Looks like the ice maker thermostat is bad and, might be the mold heater is bad as well. I always recommend to replace the whole ice maker if something is wrong because the rate of success for ice maker repairs is very low.

No ice. water will not fill in ice maker. Temp o degrees, fill chute not froze up, water line open from fill chute to solenoid valve, water line open from solenoid valve to saddle valve, saddle valve open with good presure. solenoid valve checks 30 volts on the white side and 36 on the purple side 120 volts at the ice maker. Is it the solenoid valve that is bad. Sears Kenmore mod. 106.52282202 Thanks for any help Big D

Swap the wires between the ice maker and the water dispenser solenoids on the water valve. Push the water dispenser lever and check if water went into the ice maker.

If it did then the problem most likely is a bad ice maker.

If it did not then the problem is a bad water valve.

- The part number for the ice maker is AP2984633

- The part number for the water valve is AP3160649

Thanks Gene I swaped the wires like you said an it filled, should i wait and see if it freezes and kicks it out or just replace the icemaker now. And once again thank you for all your help. Also can you buy the keepers that keep the water lines inserted . Big D

You are welcome Big D. I do not see any reasons to check the ice maker more.
