Model Number: PTS25LBMARWW Brand: GE Age: 5 - 10 years
I have a 7 yr old GE Arctica refrigerator. Recently it stopped cooling completely. The compressor never turned on but the control panel seemed to work. Before it failed everything worked fine. I made the guess that it was the main control board. I replaced the control board(GE part # WR55X10656) and now the compressor works and the fresh food section keeps the correct temperature. However the freezer continually runs if it is set to the mid temperature level it was set to before the failure. I have to set the freezer to its warmest setting to get it to cycle on and off. Even then it is keeping the freezer at 0 degrees F or lower.
I am thinking that there might be a problem with the new control board. Before I made that decision I thought I would see if anyone had a better idea here. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Ads By Google Related Models |
