Default Ice maker discharge mechanism broken
Model Number: 106 56544400   Brand: Kenmore   Age: 1 - 5 years

Built 06-2005. A pin came loose in the ice maker discharge mechanism in the door unit. We were able to remove the parts but can not get in the area to re-install them. The five parts were the pin (looks like a nail), a white plastic piece, the clear plastic chute, a spring like clip and a plunger type looking piece. We can not remove the face plate from the door front to allow us clear access to replace the parts. How can we remove the plate from the door front?

Thanks!
