a tech just replaced my adc board yesterday due to the fridge not going into defrost. The second position (brown wire) on the harness was burnt and also was the defrost position. Now that the new adc and harness is installed the damper stays in the closed position when the compressor is running. Fridge is barely cold at this point. The old harness plugged into two terminals on the damper, now the new harness says to plug into position away from motor. Also I manually defrosted the evaporator by pushing door switch 5 times in 6 seconds. When compressor kicked back on the motor for damper was continuously opening and closing the damper about 5 times before it went back to close. Any ideas what might be happening?

You might try a non-residue contact cleaner available at Wall Mart, just unplug, connectors and spray while plugging back in.
