Icemaker gone

Brand: Maytag Age: 5 - 10 years

I am having a probem with the icemaker which is not functioning. I have ordered and replaced

AP4009066 (12001892) Kit, --water valve (filter) AP4071513 (61005626) Water inlet valve assembly What is happening now is that when I push the water fontain in the door, it is opening the valve and flooding the water compartment in the freezer icemaker and no water is coming out of the fontain. The fridge is about 10 year old and realize that the icemaker is overdue for repairs. I now think it could be the freezer icemaker component in the freezer that is defective.

However, I would like your opinion before ordering this component.

I live in Canada but close to the Vermont border and order the parts to be delivered in Vermont.
