My icemaker had completely stopped producing ice... I found a broken gear in the motor module, so I ordered a new one and replaced it approx 3 weeks ago. Everything worked fine for about 10 days, but then the ice tray was overfilled and frozen up so ice production stopped again. I took the icemaker out, cleared the ice tray and reset everything. When I re-installed, it produced one or two trays of ice and now it is overfilled and frozen up again. What could be causing this ... do I need to replace the motor module again?

The water inlet valve on the back of the unit where the house water supply hooks, may be sticking. If the lines are the same size you can swap the water dispenser with the ice maker and see how that works.
