The water dispenser on my Kenmore Coldspot side by side fridge stopped working. Model number is 106.50542001.
I brew beer and was using the dispenser to fill up a 7.5 gallon brewpot. I have a hose I hook up to the dispenser nozzle that runs into the pot and put an unopened canned good against the lever for weight and let it fill up the pot. It was dispensing just fine when I walked away. Came back a few minutes later and it had stopped flowing water.
There is no sound when I push the lever. I've verified that the lines are not frozen (can blow air through them). The ice maker works perfectly. Water gets to it and it makes ice no problems.
Does this sound like the water inlet valve??

It was the water inlet valve. Now works like a champ. Glad I figured it out with no help from this board.
