I have a U Line BI 95 ice maker on my boat. Each spring the unit is reluctant to commence operation after hooking up the water supply and turning on the compressor. The compressor chills the unit but the ice making cycle will not start. Last year my service man said the unit was simply stuck due to the long winter lay-over. He was able to get the unit working without replacing any parts. Since he is no longer in business, I need a suggestion on how to get the unit unstuck. I removed the cover on the ice-making unit and applied torque to the drive shaft, which moves the larger plastice wheel on the ice dumping paddles, in both directions, but with no luck.

Ray,

Unfortunately it's not here. Did you click "Go advanced" button first? Maybe the size of the file is too large?

Gene,

I took the picture again in a lower resolution (73kb) and am attempting to attach it. If you still do not receive it, please give me an e-mail address where I can send it directly to you.

Very likely the ice maker has gone bad. There are no test points on the ice maker head and it is not possible to troubleshoot it. The new ice maker has to be purchased from U-line.
