The ice maker on my side by side refrigerator over fills. I swapped the power leads to the to water solenoids and the water turns on and off when i work the drinking water lever in the front. I understand there is a timer for water fill. Can that be shortened? Or what do you suggest? The unit is level and has worked O.K. for years.

Take the end cover off the ice maker and look for a screw labeled +-. turn it to - for less water.
