The light on the fridge section of our Conquest Fridge is not working (it flickers when the door opens, and the digital temperature guage is blank). Additionally, the fridge makes a sound similar to a flickering neon light from under the fridge when the door is open. THe freezer side operates normally. Replacing the lightbulb did not affect the problem.

Any ideas are greatly appreaciated,

Check the light switch.

If there is nothing wrong, then replace the main control board.

- The part number for the light switch is AP3132744

- The part number for the main control board is AP3837295

Gene I have the same problem with a Whirlpool Conquest model gs65hexm500. I have checked the switch and it is getting power, but the light socked has no power.

ialso am having a problem with the light in the refrig part. The bulb is good the door switch is good but no power is at the light socket????

If there is proper power at the door switch then you have to check all wires according to the Wiring Diagram.
