I checked all connections. They are all connected and clipped together. Is there anything else I can check?

The temp is below zero. I have an instant read that only goes to zero and it is buried past the zero. The freezer is set for 5 degrees and will not let me go any higher.

Your refrigeration system seems ok, I would try replacing the thermistor AP3745265 located behind the damper door in the fridg section.
