My refrigerator will only cool down to 50 degrees when turned to max cool. The Freezer works fine. I noticed that the 2 vents in the ceiling of the refrig. were filled with ice, so I turned it off and took the backing in the inside of the freezer apart. You know where the fan and thermostat bulb are. The whole thing was a block of ice. After cleaning all of the ice off and thawing it out, I put it back together. Then the refer. would freeze everything at the warmest setting , now the ice is back and it's only cooling down to 50 degrees on the coldest setting again. Please help

Sounds like a defrost problem.
Remove the evaporator coil cover.
Force the unit into a defrost cycle, see the wiring diagram.
If the heater heats up then odds are high you need a new defrost board.
Be careful do not burn your fingers.
Note: the defrost thermostat must be frozen as it turns power off to the heater just above freezing.

If it does not heat up check the defrost thermostat, should be 0 ohms when frozen and the defrost element/heater usually around 20 ohms.
