I've read your reply to this same post dated 1-08-2008. I've tested the defrost heater & the defrost thermostat & they're fine. I can't find the defrost timer anywhere. How can I get a diagram of where it's located on my refrigerator? So far you've been very helpful. Thank you very much & God bless. Carlos, Norfolk,Va.

I couldn't find any pic's of this unit to locate the timer. Most of them are in the control panel on the right side.

Thanks a lot. I found the timer & did as Gene suggested. I turned it clockwise until it click,waited about 15 minutes. I checked the freezer but didn't hear anything. So I guess it's the timer that's bad. How can I check continuity on it to make sure, or can it be checked? Thanks

hello..after a power off for couple of days the refrigarator temp.is around 50.freezer is fine,ice-cream is frozen...fan is working,but compresor is hot not noise from it.freezer is set to 1 refrigerator to 5,,coils are clean no ice or dust.unit brand is KENMORE MODEL-946022A COMPRESOR N-464107
PLEASE HELP
