I have a ge profile french door model, bottom frezzer.:serial-gm045745. The inside temps were not holding and rising slowly. I started cleaning vent holds and noticed the evaporator fan was bearly spinning. So I thought the fan motor was shot due to all the dust build up on the blades and the vent holes.I changed it and new fan motor spun just a little faster. Placing a small widow fan placed by the rear keeps it cool and working fine, but I want to fix the proper way. Does the motherboard need to be changed?, and is it covered under a recall. This seems like a commom problem with 5 year old Ge profiles. Thanks for any advise, Charlie :D
