Refrigerator & Freezer Repair

Hi- I have a GE ARTICA refrigerator. I just noticed this morning that the freezer part is only 40 degrees. The refrigerator part warm right now. What kind of test do I need to run through in order to diagnose what the problem is. I know nothing about refrigerator repair. Thanks

Check behind the back wall of the freezer for ice. If the evaporator coils behind the back panel of the freezer are icing up because of auto defrost failure that will stop the circulation of cold air

check defrost heater, defrost thermostat
