Fridgerator circa 1995. I regularly clean the coils. Four weeks ago noticed ice cream not staying frozen (almost a liquid) in freezer. Ice packs, ice trays, frozen juice cold but not frozen. Turned freezer to cooler setting. Checked freezer door gasket and it seemed very compressed with no elastisity left. Replaced gasket. Tiny improvement. So then I turn the fridge control to colder. This seemed to help tiny amount. Temperature fluctuations have increased in freezer with them now going from -10 deg. F to 38 deg. F. with temperature setting at max cold for the freezer. Temperature goes way down during times when I hear the unit running. If I check somtime later (when unit is not running) the temperature will be above freezing and it is somtime later that the unit comes on to cool down. I have taken the lower cardboard back pannel off. I have seen the fan there running and the round tank becomes very warm when that occurs. Help.
