Model Number: TFX28PPDWW Brand: GE Age: 5 - 10 years
I am replacing my water line that was leaky and I can't seem to reconnect to my 2 solonoid valve (picture attached). I this valve a one time push on connection ? I pulled the old broken hose out of it and have a new hose connection but can't seem to figure out how to get it connect. It looks like some of the plastic is left behind.
Thanks, Steve |

Pull the valve and put in a vice if you have one. Push in on the plastic ring and dig out the plastic piece with a small screwdriver. In the process, you might damage the prongs inside the valve that capture the water line. If so, new water valve time.
Personally, I use a universal valve kit P# 4318046 It has screw on connections that compress and retain the water lines. It doesn't have this problem.
