Replacing Ice maker in LG..

I have an LG french door refrig. with a freezer bottom drawer. Ice maker went out; stopped making cubes. Actually it has totally lost power. Have tried to flip breaker or reset frig. unit and nothing. Assuming the ice maker needs to be replaced. Part # for ice maker is AP4457302. Looks like its a simple unscrew unit, disconnect and reconnect power box connection. My question is, looks like the water hose feed into the ice maker simply drains into the tray. Almost looks to easy to replace....any specific things I should know about reconnecting the water feed hose? Does it simply drain the water into the ice cube maker tray when summons by the unit? Our warrenty has expired on this unit, so Iam trying to take care of this myself. Any other advice appreciated.
Thanks,
Jeff
