If you have a water filter it may be clogged causing it to leak water to the pan and overflowing it.

You could have excess ice build up on the freezer evaporator coils caused by leaky door gaskets thus filling up the tray when it defrost.

Is the condenser fan under the unit blowing. It helps evaporate the water in the fan.
