icemaker replacement

Model Number: srd25se Brand: Amana Age: 5 - 10 years

I just purchased an icemaker replacement and noticed that the water line enters from the back of the unit and the replacement enters from the side. Can I somehow exchange the "cup" (where the water line enters)from the old to the new? Or what other choice do I have?
