refrigerator freezes fresh food section and compressor will only stop during defrost cycle. I already replaced defrost timer and temperature control, but the fridge is still always on and freezing in fresh food section. I checked refrigerator fan and it works fine and vacuumed under the fridge.

What is the exact temperature in the freezer?

I don't have professional thermometer, but the one that I used reads around 4 F, I placed it at the top door freezer shelf. Am I running low of freon? If yes, is there a leak or over 10+ years freon needs to be recharged?

There is nothing else, but the temperature control. Inspect the position of the temperature sensing bulb. It should loop around the damper control. If there is nothing wrong then the temperature control you installed probably is defective.
