My refrigerator is not cooling and the freezer is cold but not freezing. The coils are clean and the condenser fan is working. After reading some of the other postings I think the problem is the cooling coil. Did I come to the correct conclusion or is there something else I should check first?

Here are your parts, includes a wiring diagram. Replacement parts for FRIGIDAIRE FRS24WSGW3 Frg(v2) / Side By Side Refrigerator | AppliancePartsPros.comI think the problem is the cooling coil Not quite sure what you mean. It does sound like a sealed system problem. Check if the compressor is running. You can usually hear it but it also should be warm and you should be able to feel it vibrating. Is it running continuously (except during defrost) or is it cycling? If it is a sealed system problem then it will run continuously. Is the evaporator fan in the freezer running? Did you check the evaporator coils after the unit had run for a couple hours? If you checked it shortly after a defrost cycle there will be no frost on it. If there is just frpost in one area of the coils (usually where the freon enters the coils) then odds are you are low on freon. All sealed system repairs will be expensive as you need a pro. Often it makes more sense to put those dollars towards a new unit. |

Compressor is continuously running, evaporator in the fan is running, and there is no frost on the coils.
