My Maytag wide by side icemaker is still producing ice, but then all of the ice clumps together. It appears that water is leaking out into the back left corner of the ice bin, and the dispenser won't work because it is blocked with frozen water, plus the ice cubes are frozen together. I emptied the bin completely and restarted the cycle, and the same thing occurred. I currently have the bar in the "do not make ice" position, but it would still continue to make ice, if I lowered the bar. I cannot see any leak flowing, but it is obviously creating extra water, which is freezing up the rest of the cubes.

Can you diagnose the problems and all of the parts that we will need? Is this an easy enough repair that we can do it ourselves, or do we need to call the repair man? The water pressure from the water dispenser appears to be fine, as it dispenses about 8 oz. in 6 seconds. The unit is 7 years old. Thank you!
