Model Number: PFS22M1SBBB Brand: GE Age: Less than 1 year
Hi, I have a couple of issues on my GE PFS11M1SBB Fridge. First the temp control unit does not always display the temperature. The buttons seem to work as there is an audible beep when they are pressed.
Second issue. The freezer is not staying cold. The issue has been off and on for a couple weeks until today. I took the back off and have verified that I get 120Vac to the starter relay. The cap reads ok when measure, 12uF. I ohmed out the compressor, with the bottom connector as common the other 2 pins read ~9 ohms, across the top 15ohm. The compressor does get warm/hot and it hums. I can feel the starter relay click off after 10-15 sec from plugging in the fridge. Also I ohmed out between the starter relay connect to the compressor connectors, I get less then 1 ohm. Checked the voltage to the condenser fan at the control board connector between white and pink. With the motor disconnected there is 10.5Vdc, with it connected I get 2.7Vdc. Checking the resistance at the motor I am showing 1.67M between white to yellow and 1.83K white to red. I think the control board and/or the fan are bad. What do you think? Thanks in advance, Tom Ads By Google Related Models |
