Neither the fridge or the freezer are cooling properly. There is no ice up on the evaporator in the back of the freezer. The fan at the compressor is working and both fans inside the fridge/freezer are working properly. I don't believe the compressor is running. It doesn't vibrate or anything when I plug the unit in. I have a dog so I cleaned as much dog hair out of the condensor as I could with my vacuum. I have checked continuity with an ohm-meter across the black 2-pin capacitor on the side of the compressor and i get about 4.50 M-ohms resistance across the terminals of the 2-pin capacitor mounted on the side of the compressor. The resistance reading gradually drop the longer I hold the meter on it. At about 4.30 M ohms I lose all continuity and when I swap the leads on the capacitor it starts back at about 4.50 M-Ohms and drops back off to about 4.30 M-Ohms. Is this a normal reading? What do you guys think? Is there common problems with these compressors or other electrical components that I can't seem to find?

Most likely the problem is a bad compressor. Remove the start devise from the compressor and check all windings for continuity across each other.
If any of pairs is open the compressor gone. Gene.

There should be a red and white wire going to the compressor starter. Check for 120vac at those two wires. If you do not have voltage, check the defrost timer and thermostat for voltage (tech sheet). They will be located in the housing in front of the fresh food section light bulb. If you do have voltage at the compressor, you will need to check the starter (item 15 in the unit parts) and ohm out the compressor windings.

Pry off the side of the compressor the start relay and ohm across the terminals, if open order a new one. Should be the original factory part and not a substitute.
