My ice maker makes ice ok, but then it just sticks to it and I have to force it off by hand and manually reset the switch, once in a while it makes more than 1 batch, but not usually. Any idea why this is happening? I believe it started doing it after we put in a kitchen floor and had the freezer thawed out briefly, not sure if there's any easy things I can do to have it drop the ice and continue to make more.

The problem could be a bad mold heater, a bad thermostat or a bad ejector. The best solution is to replace the whole ice maker.

- The part number for the ice maker is AP3966072

I've been experimenting a bit more... Turns out if I just reset the arm manually (move from on to off back to on again) it works fine. It just seems to stop after making a batch (sometimes 2-3). It just seems to shut off after one batch
