Model Number: 363.50222000 Brand: Kenmore Age: 5 - 10 years
My wife and I just purchased a new home. The afore mentioned appliance came with it. Just after moving in my wife pointed out to me that there was a small (very) pool of water underneath the front part of the unit (more on the freezer side.) I investigated all of the water tubing that I could see and there is no apparent leaks. No drips coming from anywhere that I could see. However, I did notice that there is about 1/4 inch or less of ice build up on the bottom of the freezer. I am currently defrosting it and there does not appear to be any water coming from anywhere some minimal drainage from the inside rear of the freezer. Not enough to denote any freezing of the coils in my uneducated opinion. I have no idea what it may be.... Any thoughts??? Thank you in advance for any advice!

Your drain tube must be stopped up with ice at the upper end because it drains too slow because it's stopped up at the lower end in the evaporator pan under the unit at the floor. It can get dust and mold in it. Once you get the ice out at the top a little air pressure will usually clear it out. Flush it out with hot water and clorox may help. Make sure it drains quick enough. The drain should be located below the evaporator coils on the lower back of the freezer.
