32 month old refrigerator. Led light in refrigerator compartment stopped working. Told by GE there is no warrantee beyond 1 year. To replace panel myself would cost $150 for the light panel. To call a repairman would add at least $100. GE sells the lights as a green energy saving option that should last for the life of the product.they charge you $100 more for it at purchase. Leds have a rated life of 20,000 working hours. Cleary this panel is defective and the lights should be replaced for nothing.

When you purchase the product GE does not tell you that it will cost you $250 to replace the light bulb.

Anyone with a similar problem trying to get GE to see the light here,( no pun intended) and responsibly replace the part without the charge. Any other suggestions other than placing a flash light in the refrigerator.
