buzzes like heck. pretty much all the time. seems like a sheet metal thing. buzz goes away for a bit if i lift unit from the side. i've tried re-leveling but no joy. any help would be greatly appreciated, especially by the kids who hang out in the family room.... thanks, michael

Remove the rear cover to see if something has come loose.
Check the compressor mounts.

Be careful as there is voltage back there.

yup seems to be the right rear compressor mount. re-re-leveled the thing over a piece of carpet and seems to have quieted itself. i figure it will buzz again soon. would i tighten, loosen or try to replace the mounts???

Try tightening first just half a turn at a time.
Also try different mount bolts.
Only do it till the buzz stops.

If that does not work try loosening.

Do not over tighten as you may crack/destroy the old rubber mount.
I do not like moving a compressor if it can be avoided as there is always a chance that you will create a leak in the sealed system and the unit will be toast.
