On the back of unit, there is a compressor compartment cover with insulation attached to it. What kind of insulation is this? Polyester, fiberglass, or what? Thank you.

This is just a sound insulation which is not important for the performance. It is important to have the cover in place to provide the proper air flow and cooling for the compressor.

Actually, I was thinking of disposing of cover. I asked about kind of insulation because highly allergic to some materials. This refrigerator blows out the front right onto me. Thanks for replying.

If the cover is too bad you can make new one from a cardboard.
