Fridge door has display of temp for freezer and fridge part. Found popsicles were very hard and very cold. Checked temp and found freezer was -9F and fridge was 37F. Temp control settings were where they have been for 4 years... 0 for freezer and 37 for fridge.
I unplugged fridge to reboot it and it ran ok at proper temps for 2-3 days. Today it is back to -5F and 37F.
I have had very little luck finding an answer except it might be the WR50X10065 defrost thermostat.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

You probably have one or two bad thermistors located in the freezer and fridg section. Look at this sites diagrams for locations, a long white, plastic item AP3185407. You can test them in a glass of ice water, should be around 16.6 kohm after immersion for a short period.

Thank you for the detailed response. About 3 days ago I put the fridge in service mode and did a complete reset. All seems to be fine since then and the temp is exactly where it should be.
If anything changes I will certainly do the troubleshooting you kindly provided.
Thank you very much for the assistance.
