At first, my problem was that the tube in the back of the refrig/freezer that supplies the water to the icemaker would freeze up, and I would have to remove the tube and use a hair dryer to thaw it out and then it would start making ice again. Now the motor that turns the metal screw in the hopper won't turn. When the lever on the outside dump tube is pushed, there is a click but it won't turn at all. Now, even though the tube in the back is thawed out, it stopped making ice too. Both things seemed to start at the same time. Maybe the motor is shot? To replace just the motor part is about $150, so if it is bad, maybe the whole icemaker unit should be replaced? I figured that if it would still make ice, I'd just reach in and get teh ice I need, but that doesn't seem to be an option. The water coming out of the door front works fine.
