hello i have an upright freezer that wont freeze anymore. it does get cold but it just wont freeze the food anymore. please any ideas? it is a 2001 frigidaire.

Clean the coils on the back.
Does the compressor turn off even though it's not reaching the selected temp? Cold control(thermostat)problem

Is the back panel and the coils behind the back panel iced up blocking air flow? Auto defrost problem. Check the defrost heater, defrost thermostat then the defrost timer.

Is the fan in the freezer running when the compressor runs? It may stop when you open the door, just hold the door switch in. If not replace fan.
