voltage to ice maker
Brand: Kitchen Aid Age: 1 - 5 years
what should my voltage be to the icemaker? it has a 4 wire connector with white, black, brown and green. right now I am reading 57 volts to the white and black, and it does not seem to change when the optics or clear or blocked.

Need model # to help. If you can gain access to the front of the icemaker and it is a modular one, remove the cover and check the voltage to pins N and L, should be 115 volts, if not, your optics boards are bad. There should be a service sheet for the icemaker and optics under the kick panel.
