The refrigerator will not stop running.I turned the unit off for a couple of hours and then restart it ,still runs nonstop.

First check the temperatures in the unit.
The freezer should be 0 to 5 degrees F.

There are 2 overall causes for it to run all the time.
1. The unit is not reaching the set point temperature so keeps running trying to get there. This can be a sealed system, an evaporator fan, a defrost or a door seal problem.

2. The unit is at or below set point but does not shut off. This is probably a thermostat problem.
