I ordered a fan motor for this unit and it arrived ok except that according to installation instructions provided by one of your tech's I need to use the original 2 screws that hold the motor to the bracket. The only problem is that on the new motor the mounting's are not taped out and the original screws are not self threading screws. Phone tech support said something about using a drill to get them stated but they are the original screws are two big to even get started. If I need self threading screws what size should I get. Any suggestions ????????

I do not work for AppliancePartsPros, I just volunteer here and try to help a few people.

By the look of it you would be tapping into the metal of the motor.
I would not do this.
I think you would be better off taking it to a hardware/lumber store and getting 2 bolts, nuts and lock washers of the correct size and use them to attach the motor to the bracket.

If the holes do not go through the motor then you will have to use self taps but again I would buy them locally to be sure you get the correct size.
