My Amana refrigerator/freezer stop getting cold. All lights and fans are working, and no frost build up anywhere. Did a trouble shoot on it and found the relay overload was toast. It rattled when shook, had a scorch mark where the light brown lead was connected. Ordered part number ARB220ZCW. Replaced the relay and the compressor comes on and sounds as it is working proper and warm to touch from dome to bottom. It is not getting cold at all. The lines from the compressor are room temp except for some transfer heat from the compressor. Check the polarity of the compressor and they were 5.5 & 3.5. Gut feeling is a leak in the system or a restriction. Time for a new refrigerator? or is there something I overlooked?? Thanks

Time for a new refrigerator? Unfortunately it does sound like it. You may want to check your warranty, looks like it may have a 5 year sealed system warranty at least for the parts. or is there something I overlooked? Is the evaporator/freezer fan running? You should also be able to feel the compressor vibrating. If not check it, here is a good link on how to do that. Note: If the compressor checks out electrically it does not eliminate it as it may have internal mechanical problems. denman thanks for the feedback.
Yes the evaporator fan is running. The compressor sounds and feels like it is pumping but I can not feel any flow through the system which makes me believe that it is a freon problem.
O well, what can you do. Weekends brings sales :)
Thanks again
