Richard,

To replace the fan, You'll need to turn power off or unplug the power cord.

Empty the interior and remove the shelves.
You then need to remove the evaporator cover, lower section of the back wall. You'll need to be cautious and slowly swing or turn the panel so you can access and disconnect the wiring harness and remove the panel.Remove the fan mounting bracket screws, and unplug the wires to the motor, remove the mounting screws holding the motor to the bracket, Then remove the fan blade. It shouldn't take you that long to complete the repair, less than an hour.

Good Luck,
:) :) :)

Thanks for the info. One other question concerns the fan blade. Should it be replaced at the same time and how is fasten to motor.

Richard.
The evaporator fan blade is a "friction" fit. Pull it off the old, press it on the new. No it doesn't need to be replaced, usually.
