Recently our Kenmore Elite stopped dispensing ice. It makes ice fine but when you engage the dispenser the trap door opens but no ice comes out (you can hear a humming noise, however). I am surprised we haven't had problems with the motor before because the ice always seems to be frozen up in the container....how do you keep this from happening? Anyway, I attempted to troubleshoot over the weekend...the couplings appear to be in fine shape but I could not for the life of me determine how to get inside the door to remove the motor. Does this sound like our auger motor has gone out? Please let me know what part we need and how to get access to the motor. Thanks! :)
