Hello,
Right after moving and plugging our GE fridge in our new house, a constant and loud clicking sound could be heard--about every second, which seemed to come from the circuit board. The clicking stopped after about 10 minutes, but it started again a few hours later and has reoccured regularly since. It lasts about 5 minutes and happens every 2-3 hours. Both fridge and freezer seem to be working fine, but the noise is loud and very annoying. Do I need a new circuit board or another part? Is it worth fixing? Thanks a lot for Your help.

I have a similar issue. Have you learn what it might be?

Thanks for the tip. My fridge finally died last night after a long and loud agony. I bought the new motherboard today at a local appliance store for about $150 and it took me five minutes to make the switch. My fridge came back to life and the clicking noise is gone! Woohoo!!! A repair guy had quoted me $325 for the job, quite a scam considering how easy it is! DIY ;)

I am glad you fixed it, you are lucky you have a GE fridg with all the electronics on one board, makes it easy.
