Hi all. Im a commercial HVAC mechanic and my refrigerator at my house isnt working quite right, It will run and cool properly when the compressor is cool. But when it gets hot it will not restart until I unplug it and it cools down. I replaced the start relay but could it be a bad compressor or bad relay? thanks!

The relay can be damaged when a loud click is heard occasionally whenever the compressor is warming up. However, The refrigerator start relay has to be removed from the system in order to have it checked. Before removing it from the system, make sure to unplug the unit first. And if you have had your fridge for more than five years, you should be a little cautious for the compressor. There might be some problem oriented this.
Refrigerator Compressor Fan can be Stops. If the fan stops, you will feel it and the refrigerator will make some funny noises. If you see that your compressor clicks on and off, or doesn’t run at all, you should check if there is a start relay problem. It could also mean that there is some sort of compressor overload
Usually a noisy compressor is a bad compressor, so you will probably need to replace it immediately. And if you want to buy a new one visit at https://www.commercialfridgefreezer.com.au/.
